Sophia Kearney-Lederman

Sophia is the Senior Economist at FHN Financial. She provides regular economic updates and presentations for First Horizon Bank, the parent company of FHN Financial. Sophia trained as an Economic Analyst with FHN Financial at the start of her career. She spent several years at American Express as a Senior Business Analyst in Global Commercial Services before returning to work at FHN Financial.

Sophia was recognized by American Banker as a 2025 Most Powerful Women in Banking NEXT award recipient. This list celebrates the most promising and accomplished women under 40 in the banking and finance industry.

Sophia graduated magna cum laude from Washington and Lee University with a B.A. in Economics and Spanish. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Omicron Delta Epsilon. Sophia was born, raised, and currently lives in New York City.
