Q3 2026 Quarter in Review

Third quarter brought higher energy prices and higher yields as the US and Iran exchanged military strikes, global issuance accelerated, and the Fed hiked rates at the September meeting. The UST 10-yr yield rose the most in a quarter since 1994, and the long bond hit highs not seen since 2002 despite increased buybacks by the Treasury Department.
