September 2026 FOMC Highlights

On Wednesday, the FOMC raised rates for the first time in three years. The Fed made clear it is not satisfied with progress on inflation, signaling more rate hikes to come in its new dot plot. The decision marks a significant shift both from expectations for rate cuts early this year and from a dot plot suggesting far less work to do as recently as June.
