Mitchell Redd
Mitchell Redd leads FHN Financial’s Loan Advisory and Trading group, which focuses on providing proprietary analysis and trading strategies for banks and credit unions. FHN Financial has been a leader in residential mortgage trades for over 35 years, having worked with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to develop the Agency seasoned bulk window in the 1980’s. Loan advisory work focuses on helping institutions better understand their loan portfolios from an investment perspective and develop balance sheet strategies to maximize long-term financial performance. Additionally, FHN Financial has served as advisor for some the market’s largest transactions, including a $2.8 billion Multifamily sale and a $8.4 billion residential mortgage sale.
In a previous role at FHN Financial, Mitchell served as a Senior Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Investment Banking Group of FHN Financial Equity Capital Markets, specializing in mergers and acquisitions and raising capital for banks and thrifts.
Before joining FHN Financial, Mitchell served as a senior investment banker for a regional brokerage firm focused on the issuance of trust preferred securities and bank mergers. Prior to his investment banking experience, he worked with AmSouth Bancorporation in various product management capacities. Mitchell received his MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia and a BA in Mathematics from Vanderbilt University.
