Michael Allen

Michael D. Allen (Mike) is Executive Vice President and Head of Municipal Products at FHN Financial, overseeing the firm’s Municipal Securities Department in Memphis. With more than 35 years of industry experience (and over 30 of them at FHN Financial) he has extensive expertise across fixed income markets and more than 25 years dedicated to municipal bond trading and underwriting. He remains actively involved in daily trading and underwriting in addition to his leadership role.

Mike has served on the Bond Dealers Association Board of Directors since 2017. He previously served as Treasurer of SIFMA’s Municipal Division Executive Steering Committee and continues to actively support SIFMA’s municipal initiatives. An inactive Certified Public Accountant, he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, cum laude, from the University of Memphis. He holds FINRA Series 7, 50, 52, 53, 54, 63, and SIE licenses.

A lifelong Memphian and devoted University of Memphis fan, Mike spends his free time cheering on the Tigers, enjoying the lake, golfing, and being with family. He and his wife of more than four decades are delighted by their three (soon to be four) granddaughters.
