Intern Program
This 10-week summer internship program, based in our Memphis office, provides participants with broad exposure to key functional areas across the firm, fostering a well-rounded understanding of our fixed income business and strategies. Ongoing assessments support both proficiency and professional growth, preparing participants for potential candidacy in FHN Financial’s full-time, two-year Analyst Program.*
Key Responsibilities
Exposure to numerous functional areas within FHN Financial, including:
Fixed Income Sales, Trading and Strategies
Investment Banking
Maintain databases, perform analysis, and produce customer presentations
Collaborate with team members to reach departmental goals and initiatives
Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities, including working closely with mentors and senior management for career development in fixed income
Skills you will Develop
Bloomberg terminal for fixed income, including Bloomberg Markets Certification
Preparing client presentations
Understanding fixed income investment decisions and portfolio allocation
Understanding of corporate finance and financial markets
Qualifications
Finance, Business, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field
Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and succeed in the financial services industry
High attention to detail for written analysis and client presentations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and not afraid to ask questions
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively
Preferred Skills
Previous internship or work experience in financial services or related fields
Knowledge of financial markets, investment strategies, and financial analysis
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Coding skills in Python or similar programming language
